Call for Response for Haitian Relief

Dear sisters in Christ,

We have all seen the devastation in Haiti and the suffering that has now taken hold of this country.

As “Lutheran Woman in Mission” the Lord calls upon us to help those in need. We ask that you use the many trust worthy suggested sites made by our District and Synod. You may also choose to use your membership with Thrivent to access their matching funds for your “Gift’s of the Heart.”

Another organization, Orphan Grain Train is also looking for help to offset the cost of a container full of goods heading for Haiti. OGT, as you might recall, was one of our National LWML mite projects last biennium.

We ask that you continue to pray for those who have lost loved ones, those who are injured and hurt and the many volunteers who are now serving those in need.
