It is with great pleasure that we announce the appointment of Lori Connin as the new treasurer of the NJ District LWML. Lori is a member of Village Lutheran Church in Lanoka Harbor. She has been a faithful and active member at Village Lutheran for 34 years. Lori has been involved as a Sunday school teacher, music director, and then onto superintendent.

Lori has also been involved with the LWML for a few years and has served in different capacities in her own society and within her zone. Her organizational skills were apparent at the last NJ District convention in her handling of the appointment as convention registrar. The skills the Lord has bestowed upon her will help in her new role as the treasurer on the NJ District LWML board.

Let us give thanks to the Lord for answering our prayers and hearing us in our time of need. Let us also give thanks for Lori answering our call and letting the Lord lead her to us. May HE guide and lead Lori as she starts her new journey as your treasurer on the district board.

In Memory


It is with great sadness that I write that our dear sister in Christ, Grace Schumann, was called to her heavenly home on Monday, November 1, 2010.
Grace was a long-time member of King of Kings Lutheran church in Mountain Lakes and an active member and Treasurer of the LWML. Those of us who sat on the district board with her saw a smiling, gracious lady who was always happy and upbeat even through her illness.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010.

Donations are being accepted to the King of King's Lutheran Church.

We give thanks for being blessed to have known her and rejoice in her victory that she is now with our Lord.

May God grant His comfort, peace, and strength to Grace's family and friends who loved her and will miss her presence.
